RemoteSpark™ Version 1 Sunsetting Announcement

We will be sunsetting Version 1 of RemoteSpark Cloud by October 31st, 2023. We do not plan to discontinue version 1 of “on-prem” for the foreseeable future. 

 


Sunsetting Details 

We are announcing the sunsetting of version 1.x of RemoteSpark. 


For most users, you will not notice any disruption in service if you are already using the latest-and-greatest version of RemoteSpark (version 2.0.33.0). If you have fully transitioned to version 2.0.33.0, you can safely disregard the remainder of this message. 


Sunsetting a software version is a common industry practice that allows us to allocate more resources to improving newer versions and delivering enhanced features, security updates, and overall performance. While we understand that change can sometimes be challenging, we believe that this decision will benefit you by ensuring a more stable and innovative product. 


Here are some key details about the sunsetting of RemoteSpark Client (v1): 


1. Sunset Date: The sunset date for RemoteSpark Client (v1) before the end of 2023 with a tentative plan to cease 1.x operations in full by October 31st, 2023. 


2. Transition to Newer Versions: We strongly encourage you to transition to the latest version of our software, 2.0.33.0, to continue enjoying the latest features, improvements, and ongoing support. Our team has worked tirelessly to make this transition as seamless as possible.  


3. Support During Transition: We understand that migrating to a new version may raise questions or concerns. Our dedicated support team will be available to assist you throughout the transition process. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for guidance and assistance at customercare@kognitivspark.com


4. On-Premises v1: Please note that if you are an on-premises user of RemoteSpark Client, you are not affected by this planned sunset. There are currently no plans to retire this SKU.
